Ancient Aspects of the Zodiac

The last Passover meal was celebrated with Jesus and the twelve apostles seated at a table. This theme was a duplication of the theme of Jacob and the twelve tribes of Israel. They derive their message from Jacob's ladder which is the essence of the cycle around the ecliptic and the entrances at the Pearly Gates as mottos for each asterism. There are aspects of the division of the zodiac into the twelve parts related to the factors three and four, and six and two. Revisit the words of Revelations verses 21:21; And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

Aspects of the Zodiac
Revelations 21:21 calls out factors with the words "every several gate was one pearl." Grouped in three sets of four are the metaphysical elements earth, water, air, and fire. Grouped in four sets of three are the communication spirits of God related to consciousness, sensuality, and recognition, defined as mutable, cardinal and fixed in astrology, Perses, Heliodromus, and Father in Mithraism, and Son, Holy Spirit, and Father in Christianity. The Christian trinity is an exact replication of the Egyptian trinity which was implemented in various child, mother, and father deities throughout Egypt. It was these three entities that the unacknowledged intuition in Freud called Ego, Id, and Super Ego.

The cosmic spiritual trinity designation referred to movement of the celestial cross at the positions of the equinoxes and the solstices. Mutable is a constellation which will next receive the equinoxes and solstices. A constellation that contains an equinox or a solstice is cardinal, in the sense that north, east, south, and west are cardinal directions. Fixed is a constellation which had been cardinal in the prior age. In the table above, the solstitial cross represents the heavens from the beginning of the Age of Pisces until 1989, when the summer solstice moved out of Gemini into Taurus. This event means that Western Civilization never thought of Gemini, the "I Think" house, as the place of the summer sun. This travesty is in direct correspondence to the way Western Civilization was cognizant of the whole cosmos. It never happened during the whole period when thinking was the highest constellation on the zodiac. Another way of expressing this is to realise that Sol Invictus never achieved "cognizance" when the sun was in the "house of cognizance." It was in 1989 that the bear of the Soviet Union took up the bull of capitalism and free enterprise. Whether that nation rises to commercial success is still under evaluation. However, it is sure that the nation overcame the bull of communist tyranny, which was the ultimate heritage given to the world at the end of the 18th Dynasty in Egypt, thirty three hundred years earlier.

Grouped in six sets of two are the genders. Finally, grouped in two sets of six are the top and bottom, or days of creation and days of rest, or desert and sea, or Israel and Egypt, or mountain and river bottom. Those who sought the mountain tops represent Zionists. Those who sought river bottoms were Pagans. These were also the Sons of Light and the Sons of Darkness. Each constellation has its own name, and the whole is called the zodiac, Galilee, Jerusalem, Babylon, Egypt, Kingdom of Byblos, or the fourteen parts of the body of Osiris.

A major difference between the Zionists and the Pagans was the perceived ability of the individual to alter or control the cosmos. Zionists believed in "fate" or divine will which would crush sinners for disobedience. This mind set resulted in the great age of tyranny which Aries represents. Pagans believed in correspondence, "as it is above, so it is below." Pagans, therefore, had the responsibility to assure that the cosmos progressed in an orderly manner. To accomplish this task they required the power to convert physical nature into inspired divine will. This was accomplished through various techniques which the Zionists labeled "superstition." The ultimate statement of the Pagans was that the "mother of all living" could give birth, without being inseminated, through the miracle of virgin birth. When the esoteric wrapper is removed from the Pagan beliefs we see perfect rationality. Likewise, when the cloud is removed from Zionist beliefs we see perfect spirituality. This quandary was addressed as the first miracle performed by Jesus at the wedding feast in Canaan. John 2:3-5 describes the process where the Pagans transformed the emotions of physical being (water) into the divine power of enlightenment (wine); And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. Thus it was the Pagans, represented by the "Mother of all Living," that caused cosmic consciousness to transform the failing wedding feast into a properly prepared celebration.

The wedding was an attempt to make lifetime partners of opposites in the form of male-female, top-bottom, Israel-Egypt, rational-emotional, spiritual-material. In effect, Egypt was attempting to reunite Nut and Geb, whom Shu had separated out of the body of Tefnut. These Egyptian divinities will be disclosed in a moment. By converting water to wine, emotional power would yield spiritual revival, which would elevate rational power into material success. It had to begin at the bottom and work its way up, for emotions, like water, seek their lowest levels unless inspired by the fires of life to vaporize into the steam of willful enterprise.

This system of divination was not arrived at by a few hundred years of rationalization. It is a result of thousands of years of experimentation and theological evolution. One important difficulty of any system of divination is the possibility of autosuggestion. Autosuggestion is the process where a prophesy comes true because it is believed rather than because it is foretold by the divination system. It is this aspect of all intuitive divination systems that modern mathematical sciences tend to reject. But mathematical science is just another form of divination. Even though its microscopic mathematical accuracy is much more precise, mathematical science has no practical way to deal with unknown factors. This is demonstrated in the "Big Bang" theory.

Today we live under the influence of a "scientific" paradigm which says that a "Big Bang" occurred some 10-20 billion years in the past. All the stars and galaxies of the universe came out of a primordial singularity of zero volume before time began. Although the scientific community will proclaim all kinds of "proofs" and support for the Big Bang theory, one undeniable fact still remains. The Big Bang concept was a result of the inability to predict the time for which free electromagnetic radiation could continue to behave as energy in a photon wave form. In 1929 Edwin Hubble published that he had determined that a measured "redshift" appears in distant galaxies which increased with distance. He said that it could be a result of "tired light," or it could be a result of a "Doppler effect" in which the galaxies were spreading out at a rate which increased with distance. Here is where modern science had to deal with the unknown. Did they apply Pagan intuition or Biblical rationality in their determination of the unknown? The answer is that they chose rationality based upon a supposed relative speed effect. This choice was made because it allowed them to calculate the dimensions of the universe based upon existing paradigms and assumptions for which they did not have existing empirical data. From this lack of knowledge regarding the choice between an expanding universe or dying light, came a decision in favor of the expansion theory. If you have a rate of expansion, then the redshift measured is a direct indicator of distance. This was useful. However, mathematical physicists reasoned that if the universe is expanding, then it must have been in one location at some earlier date, and theories grew in proportion to the complexity of this supposed universe. When mathematical problems arose in the expanding universe theory, the scientists created theories to further the expansion concept, rather than taking a thorough look at the alternative to Doppler based redshift.

This is the essence of the Big Bang theory. It is based upon ignorance and autosuggestion biases in theories.  It is supported primarily by mathematical rationalizations. But most important it is a cosmology based upon coveting the rationality of eternal light, rather than verification of ancient cosmic intuition regarding life and death cycles. Rational desire is generally self serving, because reason is the history of self consciousness. Many scientists accept the calculations of the redshift because it allows them to visualize, or define intuitive aspects to, the cosmos. Some believe in the concept like any reasonable religious concept. Others object to the method for arriving at the Big Bang theory. Still others have demonstrated sound mathematical theories that suggest that light energy is reduced over time by the gravitational forces within the universe. These gravitational forces require light to perform work as it radiates away from its source location. Since light energy is equal to the frequency of the light times a constant called Plank's constant, the work done by light traveling through the universe results in a reduction in its frequency. This could completely account for the redshift seen by observing distant galaxies fixed in space relative to the observers position.

The mathematics of gravitational energy losses by light have been shown to reveal a universe of nearly equivalent redshift dimensions to the Big Bang theory, but in a stable universe, whose maximum dimensions are not determined by any existing theory. When we consider that some galaxies have been found in which there are stars which are nearly as old as the Big Bang universe, these stars do not have enough time to evolve into stars unless the Hubble constant is larger, or the concept is inappropriate. Some scientific reports indicate that there is not enough time for the stars to evolve. This means that some stars are older than the Big Bang universe. This paradox can be answered by simple intuition. The Big Bang theory is a bust. It is dominated by an elite group of adepts who use the theories to obtain a rational result on a  best effort basis. They then tend to be skeptical of any alternative theory, which does not originate from their own elite group. This leads to a catharsis caused by neatly packaging their "knowledge" regarding the experiences of science. In the ancient world, this was Seth placing Osiris in a perfectly fitting box and sending him down the river of life.

It is in the packaging of understanding that esotericism is born. When the intuitive sensual experience of the physical and material world becomes known, we create images which are not material or physical in nature, but rather mental. It is this capacity to imagine reality that distinguishes humans from most other forms of life. Because of our symbols we have expanded upon the natural universe. As Plato was concerned about the invention of writing, we, also, need to be concerned about written information. This is even more essential when we establish images of "absolute perfection" in mathematical symbols and procedures.

Modern "scientific" cosmology has established the existence of "spacetime." This form of reality came after Michelson and Morley had proven the lack of existence of the "ether." Their experiment was performed in the middle of the nineteenth century, and it showed that light was not moving in the ancient "firmament" which had been called the "ether." After abolishing the "ether" concept and the development of the general theory of relativity, mathematical physics came to understand the universe in terms of the "spacetime" coordinates. It became "common sense" that everything existed within a reality called "spacetime." However, if we properly evaluate the "existence" of "spacetime," it is fully realized that "spacetime" has the same validity as the more ancient concept of the "ether." Neither the "ether" nor "spacetime" exist in any material or sensitive form. They are both paradigms of the mind which allow for esoteric understanding.

The lack of existence of "spacetime" is difficult for us to accept, because we believe we "see" the space and we "sense" the passing of "time." In fact, the moment called now has the scalar value of zero. Therefore, time does not exist. Likewise, we do not "see" space, we see objects which are separated by distance. Distance does not exist, the objects exists. Time, therefore, is a defined as the ratio of the positions of cosmic substances divided by the rate of change in position relative to the whole substance of existence. This is why the theory of relativity appears to be, and is for the most part, valid. The equations are valid rationalizations of the relationships between cosmic substances. It is being precise about the paradigm being just a model and not an indicator of substance that is important. Money is the best example of paradigm value. Any value placed upon money is in the mind of the holder. We trade potential worth through the imagined value of money. At the end of World War II, the German Mark and no value, compared to its value a few months earlier. Civilization, with all of its benefits and restrictions is a figment of the imaginations of human beings. When a common image is lost, civil relationships breakdown into material and physical substance alone. When this is fully realized we begin to recognize the essence of the ancient metaphysical elements, earth, water, air, and fire. Modern mathematical science attempts to quantify, or place scalar values, on, the metaphysical qualities of existence known to the ancients as the element "earth." To the ancients, modern science was the study of the material creation, or in alchemy, it is the conversion of earth to air, substance to imagination.

Without question, material existence is essential to life. But life contains an entity which material things do not contain. It can be called a life force, or consciousness, or karma, or any name. However, life is that quality of existence which the ancients called the element "water." Water was its chosen name, because all known life has been found to be dependent on and come from water.

The two elements earth and water represent what we commonly call reality. It is the communication with these two that determine whether an organism has a "sense" of reality. The capacity to "sense" these two elements is intuition, either material intuition, or physical intuition. The senses of an organism are the mechanisms through which the communication with "reality" is achieved. Once the communication is achieved, the body records the sensation as a memory. Memories can be stored in the brain as well as in the tissues of the muscles, organs, and bones, and in the genetic code of the reproductive cells. Rational humans tend to overlook these "muscle memory" aspects. Professional athletes depend almost exclusively on these "muscle memory" aspects. Most of us have fantacized about hitting a home run in baseball, or making a birdie at golf. But it is only the rare individual that can train the body with sufficient "muscle memory" to perform the feats on a consistent basis and become a professional at either sport.

Modern educational systems begin to downplay the material-physical intuition or sensitivities after kindergarten. Pre-school and kindergarten are predominantly periods during which the child is taught the "muscle memory" of paying attention to the rationality of the teacher. By the time a lawyer or an astrophysicist has completed training and apprenticeship, the material and physical aspects of being have been completely subordinated to the mental aspects. These mental aspects are pure fantasy. However, the longevity of the mental activity has resulted in the development of "rational common sense." We even say, "It makes sense," when there are no sensations involved. We should say it is reasonable, or logical, but it is not sensible. By the time we reach this phase, we have sent our material-physical soul down the same river that Osiris floated down. Our mental activity becomes dominated by talk. This is the essence for which the third metaphysical element has been called "air." We often awake in some mid-life crisis to realize that we have been living in a dream we do not desire any more.

Beyond rational understanding is a more illusive entity called spirit, fire, or light. This entity is the fourth metaphysical element with the same names. To understand the fourth element "fire," we need to evaluate the attitude or meaning behind the message. Wisdom is the characteristic most often related to the element fire. True wisdom is what Plato referred to when he discussed the failings of Theuth in the invention of writing. Rational education does not result in the understanding of the basis for the rationality until the material and physical intuitional experiences are attached to the rationality. In other words, we have to come to our senses. In a rational educational environment there are many "absent minded professors" who fail to make the intuitive contact with material and physical reality. Those who can establish the connections between rational truth, material truth, and physical truth, may achieve the fourth state of truth, if they receive the cosmic spirit related to whatever truth is being considered. Finding that fourth aspect of truth cannot be done by communicating with other material-physical-conscious beings. It can only be done through transcendence of these three elements into that holistic cosmic reality which reveals the origin of the truth. In this realm, the psyche becomes isolated from all other existence, for this is the "Mind of God." It is impossible to explain this realm without totally distorting the truth which it contains. Any explanation, or example, will reduce the holistic experience to a partial experience which is primarily dependent upon the memories of the receiver of the message. Those memories will distort the message in direct proportion to the weight of truthful images, truthful feelings, and truthful encounters with the material cosmos, which the receiver controls, not the sender.

This inability to transcend wisdom from the adept to the initiate is why mythology was invented. Through mythological narratives it is possible to record the message into the initiate. Eventually, the initiate accumulates the cosmic perspective that reveals the hidden message in the myth. Myth, and esotericism in general, are not devised to hide the message, on the contrary, they are vehicles which carry the message back into that place of isolation known as the "Mind of God." An initiate that does not appreciate the fact that the place for cosmic consideration is in the "Mind of God," will not understand the truthful correspondence in the myth. If that initiate happens to acquire great material and physical wealth, they can often destroy the myth for the sake of their own identity. That is the essence of the Age of Aries, or any period dominated by rationalizations. Humanity had ventured into the "Mind of God" for several astrological ages, and had come to realize that it was possible for a human to achieve the status of divinity. Once that status was achieved within a self centered autocrat with material wealth and physical power, the destruction of the labyrinth of esoteric mythological messages was inevitable. You do not have to be a genius to realize that selfishness will ultimately overpower experience and claim the throne of the "true Son of God," if given the opportunity.

Modern science has followed this path to destruction precisely. Intuition was sublimated in order to keep the rational material understanding in control. Control, of course, is the dominance of physical desire over cosmic consciousness. With regards to the expanding universe, intuitive science would have identified signs that alternatives to the expansion theory were possible, and pursued them as well. Hubble announced his "new cosmic theory" in 1929, the year of the great stock market crash. Of course we do not intend to suggest that Edwin Hubble caused the 1929 stock market crash, but there is a very strong correspondence, nonetheless. Like scientific thinking in those days, investors in the stock market thought that expansion was a universal principle. Investors and scientists both visualized themselves living in an ever increasing cosmos. It was, after all, the "Roaring Twenties," and getting into swing was the fad. Investors soon realized the axiom, "What goes up must come down."

Scientists, living in their ivory towers, failed to take heed of the most obvious axiom of life, it will end. They hung on to their expanding universe paradigm which was based entirely on the "desire" that light had an infinite life span. If light never dies, and the whole cosmos expands, then each of us can always fulfill our desire, and we may find eternal life, also. Even an incompetent astrologer would hesitate over the acceptance of such a paradigm. Regardless, we live in a world that believes that it has scientific evidence that celestial light never dims, when all available field data is to the contrary.

This expanding universe paradox would happen differently in a divination system which accepted the existence of cosmic order by a Creator, such as the sacred sciences of ancient Pagan cultures. Their systems employed intuition to uncover great truths. Now we are living in an age which is four thousand years after the implementation of writing, and at least two thousand years after sophisticated mathematical techniques were first employed. These two masculine methods of divination tend to overpower feminine intuition. They have clearly defined rules with right and wrong answers. Scriptural references can be called upon to reveal the righteousness of verbalizations and writings. Mathematical methods can be used to substantiate numerical accuracies of any formulas. It is dependence upon rationalizations, whether scriptural or mathematical, that distinguishes modern Western Civilization from modern Eastern Civilization and the ancient world before Israel and Rome. The curse placed upon Eve in the garden of Eden by the authors of Genesis, and the fight with the "bull of my mother" by Mithras, have empowered Western Civilization to function without proper recognition of the importance of intuition. As mentioned above, the Biblical editors of Deuteronomy sought scriptural perfection and excluded Moses from the promised land because his techniques were intuitive. Just like the Israelites, modern Western Civilization is still participating in the Exodus and searching for the highest mountain to climb. We are destined to the same fate as Moses, only in reversed view. We are forced to live in the parched lands above the galaxy without adequate access to the intuitive faculties in the sea below and its fertile bottom land. When Moses died, the scriptural fathers placed him back at the bottom of sea. We are going to see Moses rise from the "bottomless pit" as a result.

We have placed a space vehicle on Mars with the use of written and mathematical skills. This is a clear sign that we are adept at following the rules of fate. However, we have also placed thirty nine bodies of the Heaven's Gate cult members in a morgue after they abandoned their containers to strive for a level above human. We have witnessed the bombing of a federal building in response to the vicious attack on a "spiritual" group in Texas. If we had been masters of intuition as well as reason, would we have abandoned the physical-spiritual body to live vicariously in a rational-material fantasy through a mechanical robot 119 million miles from Earth, like some "unidentified flying object" that just came over our horizon? One look at the ancient cultures and we see their art and architecture makes a statement about the awesomeness of life. Inside the Great Pyramid are passages that tell a story of intuition and recognition kept in cosmic balance. We have to come down to Earth in order to get to Heaven. That is why Jacob's ladder, the Zodiac, was invented. It gives us an ordered perspective of the cosmic plan. It does not steal our "free will," but it does confine it to an orderly cosmos. When we see the order and communicate with the cosmos, we have ascended into Heaven. This is not to be confused with Gnosticism, which is the maturity obtained by understanding the cosmos. As discussed in the "Big Bang" conflict above, wisdom does not necessarily imply maturity, but maturity cannot be achieved without wisdom.

Monotheism as we know it today was born during the 18th Dynasty of Egypt under the great Pharaoh Amenophis III. Many books have been written about the 18th Dynasty, and some books actually acknowledge the relationship between the reign of Amenophis III and the Biblical passages. These essays on celestial correspondence to the Pathfinder spacecraft have revealed the direct connection between the "graven images" of the Biblical texts and the cosmos as represented through the asterisms. Since all great religions defined their theology based upon observations of the heavens, it is important to be aware that religious matters were in rapid transformation during the age when Egypt conquered the world, compared to the previous 30,000 years.

The 18th Dynasty of Amenophis III was the first true "One World Government." When Amenophis III died, the throne of Egypt was taken by an unknown son who was called Amenophis IV. This pharaoh became known as the Heretic Pharaoh after he change his name to Akhenaten and closed all the other temples in Egypt. His wife was named Nefertiti. What happened during their reign is an exact duplication of the story of Adam and Eve. What happened after their reign was the downfall of human civilization. The Bible records the events of this transition in the human experience from the point of view of the outcasts called Israelites. What is perfectly clear after thirty three centuries is the fact that the theology of Aten and the theology of YHWH were both against the theology of Egypt. Implementation of a One World Government and a One World God failed in Akhenaten's time, however, the memory has been engraved into the scriptures of Western Civilization ever since.

Succession to the throne of Egypt after Akhenaten was in great turmoil. The boy king, Tutankhaten, was given credit for restoring the ancient theology of Egypt as Tutankhamen. He lived as Pharaoh from the age of nine to the age of eighteen. It should be clear that "his" accomplishments were the product of the priests and bureaucracy of Egypt. What was accomplished was the reinstallation of all the ancient religions and traditions of Egypt, without the elimination of the Atenist cult. But Tutankhamen died of mysterious causes that resemble the crushing of the skull by a blunt instrument. Whether he was assassinated or fell off a chariot is not known. What is known is that within three years a general named Horemheb took the throne and completely demolished all evidence of the Atenist theology from the sands of Egypt. His people even entered the tomb of Aper El, the vizier of Amenophis III, who was called "The Father of the God." They destroyed the mummy and the sarcophagus of Aper El, and then filled the one hundred plus foot depth of the tomb with rubble. They would not have gone to this trouble if Aper El had not been one of the initiators of the Aten religion. It is not a coincidence that the name Aper El means "servant of El," and the Exodus begins shortly after the extermination of the Atenists from Egypt. El was the God of the Hebrews before the Exodus. This Canaanite god resided in the house of the bull called Bethel.

Between 1225 BC and 1175 BC there was great conflict throughout the ancient world. This period marked the end of the Bronze Age and the end of the "God Kings." Within a century Zoroastrianism swept the thrones of the kings of Mesapotamia and the Levant. This transition represents the elimination of universal cosmic perception including the complete heavens supported by traditional Egyptian theology, and the beginning of theologies based primarily on the sun and the planets. Planet is a Greek word meaning wanderer. Hebrew is a Semitic word meaning wanderer. The transition toward wandering stars climaxed with the dominance of Mithraism in Rome, and then reverted back towards universal cosmic perspective at the advent of the Byzantine Empire. However, the transition did not bring back the "Living God" concept in the West. Western Christianity respectfully declared that God had been killed by the Jews and the Romans because Christianity was designed to restore the more ancient intuition rituals. The gospel of John clearly states that the decision to kill Jesus was based upon the fact that he rose Lazarus from the dead.

John 11:43-56 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him. But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.

John 11:47-53 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles. If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation. And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad. Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.

John 12:9-11 Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead. But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death; Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.

John 12:14-19 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written, Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt. These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him. The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record. For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle. The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.

Understanding this text is critical to comprehending the evolution of Western Civilization. Lazarus is a corruption of the name El Asar. El is a antecedent name used by Semitic peoples whose religion was aligned to the god El. Asar is an Egyptian name for Osiris. Thus the resurrection of Lazarus was in fact the resurrection of Osiris. In other words, the Greco-Egyptian teachings were resorting back to the times of the Great Pyramids, and reestablishing a cosmic centered theology. Osiris and Jesus are one in ideal, for they both speak of life after death as the most important aspect of the material experiences in the cosmos. It is passage through the "valley of death" that was of most concern to the Christian traditions. That aspect was known to Egypt prior to the dynastic period. It was older than Abraham and Isaac and Jacob. John points out the antiquity of the theology of Jesus in verses 8:56-58; Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

This passage is filled with cosmic perspective which can be interpreted for its esoteric metaphor as well as its exoteric visual experience. When Osiris died, his wife Isis brought forth from the dead body a child called Horus. Horus then came to rule the world and to avenge his father's death which had occurred at the hand of his uncle Seth. This is the metaphor that says that consciousness will be destroyed by selfishness, and brought back to life by intuition.

The betrayal is written in the heavens as the constellation of Orion (Osiris) riding on the donkey of Lepus (Seth). This message was part of the inspiration for the construction of the Great Pyramid. It is a message of paramount importance to anyone who would have a perspective of eternal life. When selfishness overcomes consciousness, the body will be destroyed for the sake of the ego. Only intuition and the resulting emotion (Isis) can bring back into the body a new consciousness. Horus is that new consciousness as the child (Antinous) on the wings of the Eagle (Aquila).

On a precessional basis, Antinous is the constellation just before Ophiuchus. This is the visual experience of Jesus being before Abraham. It threatens the Israelites, because they, like the Greeks, plagiarized their cosmic concepts from Egyptian mythology. Unlike the Greeks, Israel did not return home to Egypt. The expression "out of Egypt" is used seventy nine times in the Old Testament, once in the Gospels, and once in the letters of Paul. Israel was running away from Egypt, because "he" could not understand "her." Greco-Egyptian Christianity was born for the simple purpose of demonstrating that "all the kings of the world", and all the rationality of Israel, came from the "mother of all living," whose residence was celestial Egypt. Listen to some of the wails of the children of Israel as they acknowledge their weaning from the "mother of all living," and also, recognize the stars at Sagittarius, Scorpio, Ophiuchus, Aquila, Antinous, and Serpens.

Gen 13:1 - And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south.

Gen 15:18 - In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

Deut 26:8-9 - And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders: And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

Hosea 11:1 - When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.

Matt 2:14-15 - When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

The Earth wanders around the sun every year. Therefore, the autumn equinox defines the place of the Earth at the time associated with the vernal equinox. If an Earthbound theology is to define its place in the cosmos, the autumn equinox is the place to identify. Egypt dated its calendar from the time when the autumn equinox rested on the intersection of the Milky Way and the ecliptic, 4241 BC. Therefore, Egypt was defining the cosmic timing as the moment of the "First Occasion." Israel dates its calendar from time when the autumn equinox rested between the legs of Ophiuchus at the top side of the galactic cloud, 3759 BC. Israel was defining the first moment to be when the man on the throne of heaven stepped across the river of Egypt and onto the Promised Land. In other words, when the Earth crossed the watery abyss to come "up out of Egypt." A minor difference in time, but a cosmic difference in meaning. Israel clearly placed reason above emotion and attempted to avoid the subliminal nature of the cosmos. Mistake, or Righteousness? It all depends upon whether it is appropriate use recognition or intuition as the pathfinder in life.

This battle between recognition and intuition was the Armageddon which was predicted by the asterisms of Aries and Pisces. Pisces was the child of Aries because it inherited the world after Aries, just like Aries inherited the world after Taurus. The Last Supper represents the Passover of Aries, and the beginning of Pisces. However, it was eminently clear to the rational sages of the time that the recognition of self which had been achieved during the Age of Aries was not about to step aside for the wishy washy behavior of the "I Doubt" and "I Believe" aspects of Pisces. The only acceptable solution to retain the recognized self was to stop the precession of the equinoxes. That is now ancient history.

Ancient history has a way of repeating itself, because of the cyclical nature of the cosmos. In an attempt to stop the incessant cycling, Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, had a dream which troubled him greatly. He could not remember the dream, and he vowed to kill all the diviners in his nation, if they could not interpret the dream he could not remember. In an attempt to log the history of the world in their own scriptures, and assure their eternal life, the Jews created the story of Daniel to remind the world of the days when Zoroastrianism conquered the world. Listen carefully to the dream which Daniel interpreted in verses 2:36-45.

This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king. Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all.

Thou art this head of gold. And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth. And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.

And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

Daniel has described the Ages of Cancer, Gemini, Taurus, and Aries. They correspond closely to the ages of Gold, Silver, Brass, and Iron. We still use the designations Bronze Age and Iron Age to describe ages that closely correspond to the ages of Taurus and Aries. But their is a fifth age which Daniel describes that will be the result of the setting up of a kingdom "that shall stand forever." That fifth age "shall not be left to other people, but it will break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever." To Nebuchadnezzar, these words were music to his ears. The great city of Babylon would last unto eternity. The clay in the feet of iron represented all of the ages prior to recorded history. In fact, our oldest records are of the Age of Cancer (8000-6400 BC) for which we have clay contract envelopes, which were the precursor to written scriptures.

Nebuchadnezzar set up a boundary stone at Abu Habba to represent the place where the eternal kingdom was first conceived. The stone is a date marker representing the rise of rational being out of the intuitive underworld below the ecliptic and the Milky Way. The stone represents the constellations of Ophiuchus, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Aquila. In Ancient Babylon a national hero called Etana road an eagle through a break in the clouds in order to obtain a herb for his wife who was having difficulty in childbirth. Throughout ancient cultures, the winged sun disk was a representation of the transfer of the throne to a younger generation. The Antinous asterism on the back of the eagle, Aquila, represented the rebirth of cosmic consciousness. It was the place where a soul went after death in order to be ready for reassignment in the next life. Nebuchadnezzar's dream meant that the transition to following generations would no longer occur. His boundary stone marks the location of the autumn equinox in 3759 BC, which happens to be the first year in the Hebrew calendar.

If you have followed the metaphors of the ancient stargazers this far, then you probably have the same question they had. How do we go forward in a cosmos that declares we must doubt what we clearly recognize to be truth? Are the Jews wrong because they kept the faith? Are the Romans wrong because they eliminated all spirituality? Are the Christians wrong because they martyred themselves for a lost cause? Is it appropriate to think in terms of right and wrong? Should we resign ourselves to the fate of being born ignorant? Are we to relive the experience of Job and lose all we have only to gain it back in greater proportions without understanding? The transition between Aries and Pisces is a major major crossroad in the cosmic experience. Overcoming self identity hangups applies on the microscopic individual level as well as on the macroscopic civilization level. It is the essence which Yung called the "collective unconscious." Western Civilization took the low road out of this dilemma, they resorted to materialistic science and scrambled their metaphysical science into such a jumble that it was imperative that the spiritual aspects be abandoned. Iron does not mix with miry clay

If we take the Egyptian point of view, the present autumn equinox has moved precisely 90 degrees from the celestial position of the "First Occasion" of their calendar. It is now at the top of the ecliptic path at the back of Virgo's analytical head. This is the moment that the Pagan cosmos begins to speak, for the valley of death has been crossed. If we take the Israel calendar as our reference, the vernal equinox will complete the 90 degree precession in the year 2477 (4241-3759-2+1997). That is the time when the autumn equinox enters the constellation of Leo, the "Lion of Judah." In common terms, the Israelites are declaring the entrance of humanity into the Kingdom of Heaven as the critical moment of life, while the Egyptians are declaring the moment of truthful analysis of cosmic consciousness as the critical moment of life. Is it really necessary to destroy all of our non-humanist ancestors in order that our humanist ideals should be accepted as truth? Levites say yes. Scientists say death to humanists and animists. Egypt says, "I Am here!" Atheists say, "Nothing, is that which is". Scientists and Atheists are rationalists that have lost their way in a sea of recalled self awareness. Israel acknowledges that humanity came out of Egypt. Therefore, it is Egypt that will have the last word, because their ancestors had the first word.

Let us go back for a brief moment and find out how Egypt handled the problem when they first threw out the monotheists. After Horemheb restored the ancient cosmic order, the Pharaoh Seti I ascended to the throne of Egypt around 1306 BC. This great Pharaoh saw to the complete restoration of the ancient traditions. His priests recorded a message that summarizes their cosmic perspective. It is the judgment day scene shown below, or in detail for closer examination.

This papyrus depicts the return of the prodigal son, Seth, in the form of Seti I, to the throne of Egypt. He is represented as the soul being escorted into the Hall of the Double Maat by Anubis, the neter of material consciousness. In the middle of the scene, Anubis, as caretaker of the material being, adjust the scales of truth to weigh the heart of the person being judged. On the platters of the balance are the heart of the individual and the Maat in her form as the feather of truth. Maat can be best understood as that common sense that comes to us through intuition which properly communicates the essence of the cosmos. If the heart, or most loved characteristics of the individual, is equal to cosmic truth, the individual's state of balance is recorded by the scribe Thoth. If the heart is found to be out of balance with cosmic truth, it is taken by Amemet, the eater of the dead. This path is the path of material consumption and physical addiction. It is a clear metaphor that says our state of balance is effected by our desire to consume, and vice versa. If we balance our consumptive desires we can move on toward eternal life.

Being found in balance, consciousness is given to the keeper of the hall of records, Thoth. Then it becomes possible to recall past experiences through the esoteric scriptures corresponding to memories of the past. Once a person has heartfelt beliefs recorded by this process, it is not necessary to pass judgment again, for this is the last judgment of a rising consciousness.

The individual is then placed hand in hand with the son of Osiris and Isis, who is Horus. Horus is the conscious child of Osiris and Isis. Horus is consciousness itself. Having attained and recorded the balance of one's heart with the feather of truth, the reward of consciousness is received. The words of a popular song carry the same message, "Put you hand in the hand of the man who calms the sea. Take a look at yourself and you can look at others differently."

Consciousness then leads the soul toward the throne of Osiris. He represents past experiences. As such, the soul has earned the right to rule all parts of the essence of life. These parts are illustrated by Osiris sitting upon a lake of fire out of which a lotus grows that supports the four sons of Horus. These sons are symbols for the created aspects of the soul, Ka (earth), Body (water), Name (air), and Ba (fire). Above these four is the fifth part of the soul in the form of a feather from a fan used by the Egyptians to provide shade to the Pharaoh. This aspect of the soul is the Shadow. It represents those aspects of a person which result from unconscious behavior. A football player is not a baseball player. A Jew is not a Catholic. A man is not a woman. And yet those who thoroughly analyze the conscious behavior are made aware of the unconscious behavior by its absence. Israel in all of her history has attempted to hide the unconscious spirituality of Egypt, and yet that very attempt to deny Egypt is exactly what kept Egypt alive. By killing Egypt and then burying Moses in the depths of Egypt, Israel guaranteed the resurrection of Osiris as well as Moses. This is the shadow of the Old Testament. It is Lazarus returning from the grave, even if his name has been changed to Moses.

Osiris sits in a square throne room. This square is in fact the asterism of the Great Square composed of the stars Alpheratz, Scheat, Markab, Algenib, in Pegasus and Andromeda. As we will see later, the throne of Osiris is in the trunk of a great tree which grows above the man lying under the west fish in Pisces, also known as Geb, Jonah, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Jesus, and now Sculptor. The trunk of this tree and Jacob's ladder are composed of the same stars in the asterism which rises above Sculptor through the Great Square and to Cepheus and Cassiopeia. Behind Osiris are his sisters Isis and Nephthys. Isis was his wife and she conceived and gave birth to Horus after Osiris had died. Therefore, Isis is physical intuition. Nephthys was the wife of Seth, by whom no children were ever born. She was reportedly to have had an affair with Osiris which resulted in the birth of Anubis. Thus, she is material intuition. These two maidens stand behind the throne of experience upon which Osiris sits. Isis has a throne on her head and Nephthys has a house on her head. Their names are thus the meaning of their relationships to Osiris, throne wife and house wife, or physical and material intuition.

Above the balance register is the individual placing the products of his life on a table before fourteen seated neters. The first is Ra-Heru-Khuti. He is the demiurge and represents cosmic consciousness. Behind him is Tem-Heru-Khuti. Tem represents the transformation of cosmic consciousness into the experience of human consciousness. He wears the two crowns of upper and lower Egypt. Heru-Khuti is an appellation for Horus of two horizons. Thus, the first two neters are the asterism of the galaxy itself. The only asterism that surrounds the planet from horizon to horizon. Placing these neters first in line indicates that Hunefer believed that homage should be given to the cosmos before all else; Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

The third and fourth neter are Shu and Tefnut. Shu represents the metaphysical element air and the path of the planets called the ecliptic. Tefnut (Neith) represents the metaphysical element water and the galactic place of the sun, which they called the Sun-Disc. Her importance is in giving birth to all being. She is the "mother of all living" to Egypt.

Beyond Shu and Tefnut are Geb and Nut. Geb is the metaphysical element earth. Nut is the metaphysical element fire or light. He resides in the constellation Sculptor under the great sycamore tree in the kingdom of Byblos. She resides in the constellation Virgo with her hand holding the sprigs of wheat that contain the top of the galaxy. Geb and Nut are the pillar of the galaxy itself.

Beyond Geb and Nut are Horus, Isis, and Nephthys. Isis and Nephthys were discussed above. Horus is the seventh in a line of neters who carry the ankh on their knees. The ankh is the symbol of life, and these neters have the power to give life. Shu, Tefnut, Geb, and Nut were described as the four elements of the created cosmos. Ra, Tem, and Horus represent the three communication spirits of the uncreated world. Horus is the living son of Ra and represents consciousness. Tem is the experience of life or the medium through which consciousness is received. Ra is the ultimate essence of anything that can give birth to consciousness. Ra is that which is recognizable. Ra is the unified being from which all existence comes. Ra is everything. All being is a manifestation of Ra.

The children of Geb and Nut were Osiris, Heru-Ur, Seth, Isis, and Nephthys. Heru-Ur is Horus the elder and represents the consciousness that comes as a result of being the child of a parent. It is aware, but it is not controlling. Osiris, Seth, Isis, and Nephthys are an echo of the prior generations, for they represent fire, air, water, and earth, in human form. These five neters abide in the constellations Orion, Auriga, Lepus, Canis Major, and Canis Minor. They were born of the divine twins, Geb and Nut, when Sirius rose with the sun to mark a new sidereal year.

There is a clear bias in the presentation of these neters, or profound principles. Hunefer placed the male neters before the female neters, and he placed east before west. This was done for a reason that has nothing to do with superiority. It has to do with life and the processes of communication. Out of woman comes the physical record of generations, which is the body. A religion however must come from the rational record of generations. It is the rational record that is being presented. Rationality is of the element air. Rationality is completely under the domain of Seth. Unlike the modern judgment passed against Seth, he is not the personification of chaos and evil. It is his destiny to identify the order of life which allows for the recognition of disorder. Because of the power to present rational order, his shadow is disorder. Foolish thought will look at the results achieved, or perceived, and declare the father of disorder is Seth. What they are saying is that the father of disorder is rationality. But of course that is true. It requires the life giving waters of intuition to bring back a consciousness that has been lost in the perception of order. But it is not possible to display the powers of intuition in a rational way without botching up the conception to birth process. Be assured that Isis (Canis Major) is behind Seth (Lepus). That is why John 12:15 declares, Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt. It is the near perfection of the rationality in the Hunefer papyrus that reveals that the soul passing before Osiris is in fact Seth. Rationality fits everything into neat little boxes of reasonableness and sends the intuitive analysis down the river of life.

Pharaoh Set I was born of the "mother of all living" after the death of Tutankhamen, and the banishment of Akhenaten and Nefertiti from the halls of Egypt. Genesis 4:25-26 echos the events in Egypt with verses that follow the killing of Abel by Cain; And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD. Cain, the material son (earth), killed Abel, the physical son (water), who was replaced by Seth the rational son (air), whose children are all worshiping rationality (name).

With these words the monotheists struck out on their own. They ran from Egypt because "she" was too dependent upon intuition for their rationalistic ways. The monotheists became a "stiffnecked people" who had fallen from grace because they perceived that scriptures were not "graven images." They succeeded in taking away from Western Civilization the ability to sense the state of cosmic balance through intuition and common sense by calling on the name of the Lord.

By contrast, Hunefer's papyrus illustrates the necessity to communicate with an open mind in the last five neters on the upper register. Behind Nephthys sit Utterance and Perception. Clearly it is necessary to speak or write in order to communicate. But communication without perception is sending metaphors on a clanging symbol. Paul says it well in 1 Cor 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Keeping an open mind, with the potential to balance all ways, is the essence of the last three neters on the upper register of the Hunefer papyrus. These three represent the Southern Ways, Northern Ways, and finally the Western Ways. In the perpetual movie that unfolds on the eastern horizon of every planet in the solar system is the story board of "graven images." Western Culture has feared death ever since Akhenaten, through the Aten priests that created him, decided that it was better to live in the present than to plan for the future or reminisce about days gone by. Now in the West, we have placed Western Ways before all else. As a result we look death in the eye and say nothing is alive, all is a matter of chance. Our modern cosmos began by chance ten to twenty billion years ago without purpose or intent.

Had the monotheists not been so stiffnecked, and gotten off the celestial ass, would we have had to live through the Armageddon of Pisces? Would we have maintained the belief implied by Pisces of a New World Order? The answer is undoubtedly yes and no. In all matters of successful living, some will and some wont. The Bible did not prevent Western Civilization from understanding, arrogant stiffnecked people did. The Bible did not cause the horrors of three thousand plus years of war, arrogant stiffnecked people did.

Sigmund Freud described the problem in Moses and Monotheism . He believed the Jewish faith, and thereby all Western theology, was derived from an ancient patricidal cult phenomenon. Unfortunately for Freud, and all of his followers, he never found his heart to be in balance with the Maat. Had Freud been less self assured, and had he not tried to force people into tight psychic boxes, he might have listened to his intuition and realized that it was the perception of the sin of Eve that caused Western Civilization to fall from grace. Modern Eastern cultures never accepted the belief that rationality was better than intuition. To this day they allow the equinox to move through the heavens without locking it to the 1st of Aries. Zionism in the West is a direct result of the fear of death caused by the negation of motherhood, and Israel came into being as a direct result of cosmic matricide. Modern science is primarily the eternal search for the "mother of all living." Less negation of intuition would have restored Western Civilization to the perceptive cosmic plan long ago, as it did for Byzantium. Suppression of intuition by the tyranny of rationalization is what distinguishes the West from the East. Rome said it best by calling the Easterners, Orientals. Easterners orient themselves to the cosmos. Westerners rationalize the cosmos in their libraries and classrooms. No scripture, no matter how well it is written, can substitute for going out and watching that eternal production that rises from the eastern horizon every night. It is a story board of cosmic correspondences which can communicate understanding with the aid of intuition by any creature who takes the time to look, whether mammal, bird, or fish.

Now we must restore the ancient cosmos to proceed toward the future. Rather than pass through the Hall of the Double Maat on our own, we will attempt to see what our ancestors saw first. Then we can proceed to add to their celestial visions the experiences that have occurred since, on our way to the Promised Land and the Elysian Fields.

The authors of the most ancient scriptures are known by the spirit of their utterances. The Ancient Egyptians called them the Shemsu Hor, or the companions of Horus. The records left by the Shemsu Hor were conceived from the celestial vault, where they are to this day. If we examine the celestial scriptures we can find the most powerful woman who ever was, or ever will be. She was known even then as the "mother of all living." Some of her names were, Neith, Nut, Tefnut, Hathor, Eve, Mary, and she gave birth to the primeval creator, who was also her father, Ra. Ra was the original Horus, and his father was the husband of Neith, and his own son, Shu. These Cherubims were first identified by the Shemsu Hor as asterisms around the heavenly vault.

Looking toward the heavens of upper Egypt we find the modern constellation of Coma Berenices, which once was the wheat in the hand of Virgo, at the top of the galaxy. We find the ecliptic upon which the equinoxes and solstices precess, cutting across the sky above and below the Milky Way. At the very bottom we see the asterism of the Sculptor holding a scepter in his hands.

This holistic astral image was summarized in his book The Chapters of Coming Forth by Day on page 193, in E. A. Wallis Budge's "Negative Confessions," with the words of a man who had purified himself in the Maat; "I have been to the Field of Grasshoppers. I have bathed in the pool wherein the sailors of Ra bathe. I have found the Scepter of Flint in the furrow of Maat."

These words portray, in gloriously poetic inspiration, the whole cosmos, as seen from terrestrial Egypt. This celestial vision is paraphrased by the reference to the Field of Grasshoppers, which is the modern constellation of Coma Berenices. The bathing pool of the sailors of Ra is the path of the equinoxes and the sun through the Milky Way. The scepter of flint in the furrow of Maat is in the depths under Pisces in the resting place of the constellation of the Sculptor.

This poetic vision is ornamented by the vignette depicting the separation of Nut and Geb by Shu, which had been duplicated in many forms throughout the history of Egypt. In the vignette, the barque of Ra sails from night to day in the precessional direction over Nut (Virgo). Nut and Geb extend in the precessional directions of their respective ecliptic paths. Shu, supporting the sun and four ankhs and flanked by the eschatological truths of the vulture and the eagle, separates Nut and Geb, as a rationalization of dreams and reality. Geb, covered with feathers of truth, reaches with his left hand toward the crown of the two lands, heaven and earth, which is the syncretic destiny of civilization and the Barque of Ra. The right hand of Geb points toward the Utchat and his right forearm is under the Djed pillar, signifying unity and stability. Maat accompanies Ra, while the helmsman, Thoth, is transformed with truth and the scepter of life, as he acquires a head and understands the mysteries of the Chapters of Coming Forth by Day. Prior to passing over the torso of Nut, Thoth is slumped over the helm of the Barque of Ra, as if the vessel were weathering a storm. When the vessel passes into the Kingdom of Heaven (Leo), Thoth receives the implements of a successful voyage, the scepter of flint and the ankh, while the feather of truth takes over the helm. Outside the scene is Tefnut. This divine emotion is, in essence, the holistic scene itself, and the abyss below. She is shown in her form as Neith, and is the aspiration of the Barque of Ra.

In Shu, Tefnut (Neith), Nut and Geb, we see the metaphor of the metaphysical creation elements, air, water, fire, and earth. Shu represents the rationality which comes forth from self consciousness. Tefnut represents the emotion that spues forth from the aspirations and exasperation of life. Nut represents the ideals and dreams of life. Geb represents the mundane qualities of reality. By separating the ideal from the mundane, Shu has given victory to reason over chaos.

These metaphors for material-physical-psycho-spiritual existence are preceded by the Barque of Ra. In the barque, Ra sits behind Maat, who symbolizes the senses and their relationship to truth. She is the holistic Freudian concept of the Id. Thoth represents the chronicles of experience. He is the holistic Freudian concept of Super Ego. Ra represents the principle of cosmic consciousness and the primeval creator. For it is consciousness, and consciousness alone, that decides whether to follow Maat or Thoth. Just like it is ego and ego alone that decides whether to follow the Id or the Super Ego.

These three oracles represent the uncreated spirits. No being can communicate without these three, for they are the essence of communication. Maat is the medium. Ra is the cognitive being. Thoth is the message. All communication, whether between created beings or divine beings is entirely subject to these three. Any attempt to communicate without one of these three will result in failure, whether by a mortal or by an immortal being.

Cosmic correlation of the "scientific" star chart images and the mythical image of the vignette is rather obvious. John Romer quotes ancient texts describing Neith's relationship at the birth of Ra in Valley of the Kings, Exploring the Tombs of the Pharaohs (pg 111), as follows: The whole earth lies beneath thee. Thou hast taken possession of it. Thou enclosest the earth and all things in thy arms. Mayest thou put this king into thyself as an impenetrable star. Thus, secure in the arms of Neith the fabric of life for Western Civilization was woven. Neith, Net, Tefnut, Nut, Isis, and Hathor were created as images of the mother of all living. When these images abounded on the Earth, intuition ruled the world. Men respected, adored, cherished, and even obeyed these spirits of feminine wisdom.

The mother of all living is shown in the vignette holding the symbol of her spirit, a woven cloth. This cloth maintains its position of reverence as the prayer shawl of the Jews. On her head, Neith wears the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt, where her son Geb reaches. On her chin she sports a beard, symbolizing her androgyny. This androgyny is spiritual and is best understood as the wisdom of a mother and grandmother. In one verse, Hathor speaks the words, "I am my father's mother. I am my son's daughter." In this way she is identified with that which gives truth to the father, and that which gives desire to the son. As a youthful woman, Neith is dominated by physical desire. As a matriarch, she is dominated by life's experiences. The latter aspect is masculine and defines the beard on her chin. In the experience of life, a girl grows up to become a bride, a mother, and after menopause, a man. On the other hand, a boy grows up to become a man, who dies to make way for his son. When a man becomes a woman, he disappears into the abyss, and cannot be known, until he is born again.

In the vignette Neith is not shown below the shoulders, for there she is all woman. This is the entrance into the place from which she comes. This place is the unknown and unknowable abyss from which all life springs, under the "Tree of Life." The knowable cycle is shown above her breasts as the domain of Maat and Thoth.

From the point of view of the Ancient Egyptians, science is just another religion born of purely material interactions. Pythagoras has been given credit for creating a religion of mathematics. However, he was trained in Egypt. Most of Western culture sprang from the scientific efforts of Ancient Egyptians. They gave credit to their predecessors as the Shemsu Hor, but they do not even know who they were. All they are sure of is the fact that the Shemsu Hor saw the same cosmos that the legends of antiquity describe. Babylonian, Semitic, African, European, and other peoples probably make up the sources of the Shemsu Hor.

It is very likely that the Semitic peoples who invaded Egypt during the Hyksos period substantially changed the Egyptians. However, the effect of the change was chaos in Egypt. A theocracy which had learned the "scientific method" had fallen from grace after the Hyksos invasion. The retrieved the "scientific method" of their sacred sciences and illustrated its tenets with the judgment day scene of the Hunefer papyrus. They tried to recover their lost grandeur for over one thousand years, but in the end they lost the battle. An additional two millennia have seen a New World Order take over. This new system is a scientific system without reference to a Cosmic Creator.

This essay has come down hard on the Biblical texts as being stolen from our common ancestors. From the beginning of the dynastic period, Egypt attempted to unite the two lands. She fully recognized the value of Zionism, for it leads to great accomplishments. She also fully realized that nothing grows on the tops of mountains. Nurturing new life is best performed in the river bottom lands. Her crown was a united crown, for she attempted to combine Israel, otherwise known as Chaldea, with the great traditions of the agriculture civilizations. In her perspective, all was Egypt. Ra was in charge of the high mountain, and Osiris was in charge of the river bottom. To decimate the culture that did more to unite humanity with the Cosmic Being than any other is a sincere travesty. After Napoleon conquered Egypt in 1799, Osiris began rising from the dead. Since the evidence clearly indicates that we came up out of Egypt, we need to acknowledge that fact. We cannot do so properly without keeping in high esteem the scriptures that are responsible for her salvation, the Bible. Daniel presents the end of the precession of the ages in Nebuchadnezzar's dream. But the final result was a unification of the ages into a composite which included all ages without any age taking separate ownership. That ideal can only be met if we find a means to join the Bible and the Egyptian Book of the Dead, which they preferred to identify as Coming Forth by Day. Then we will have access to yesterday, today, and tomorrow, instead of being hung up in rational arrogance for eternity.

We can start with the twenty third Psalm; The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. There is very little difference with this Psalm and the Egyptian Psalm; "I have been to the Field of Grasshoppers. I have bathed in the pool wherein the sailors of Ra bathe. I have found the Scepter of Flint in the furrow of Maat." Both of these Psalms recognize the asterisms which define the celestial vision that can be witnessed every night as it unfolds on the Eastern horizon anywhere on Earth, or on any planet in the solar system. We are in the presence of our enemies only when were suggest it to be so, without recognizing the obvious Cosmic Benefactor.

These discussions have been prepared as background to help discover that the Egyptians had applied the best scientific system ever devised. A system that gives initiatory power to the senses and retains all judgment for presentation to a master of experience. If their prophesies were fact, then we should be able to apply their methods and test for the validity of what they declared. It was their belief that Osiris would rise from the grave when the vernal equinox of the Earth aligned with the bottom of the galactic path. Now that pathfinder has landed on Mars we can evaluate their beliefs from a perspective within the stars to determine if they were reading a real cosmic message or creating a cosmic myth without material substantiation. With this cursory introduction, we are prepared to watch the Earth Rise On Mars the way the Ancient Egyptians saw it happen five thousand years before it was accomplished using the ancient principle of correspondence, "as it is above, so it is below."

Coming Forth by Day at Ares Vallis During the morning of July 4, 1997, a sign of great wonder was made visible at the Mars Pathfinder landing site. It signaled the beginning of the next Great Year, as the vernal equinox prepared the way for the sign of Jonah.
