Limbaugh Admits Addiction to Painkillers

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Oct. 10) - Conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh announced during his radio show Friday that he is addicted to painkillers and is checking into a rehab center to ``break the hold this highly addictive medication has on me.''

``You know I have always tried to be honest with you and open about my life,'' Limbaugh said during a stunning admission aired nationwide. ``So I need to tell you today that part of what you have heard and read is correct. I am addicted to prescription pain medication.''

``Immediately following this broadcast, I am checking myself into a treatment center for the next 30 days to once and for all break the hold this highly addictive medication has on me,'' he added.

Attempts to reach Limbaugh by phone, e-mail, fax and at his Florida home were unsuccessful Friday.

Limbaugh gave up his job as an ESPN sports analyst Oct. 1, three days after saying on the sports network's ``Sunday NFL Countdown'' that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb was overrated because the media wanted to see a black quarterback succeed.

The reports of possible drug abuse surfaced at about the same time, first in the National Enquirer. The tabloid had interviewed Wilma Cline, who said she became Limbaugh's drug connection after working as his maid. She said Limbaugh had abused OxyContin and other painkillers.
 

Law enforcement sources who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed to The Associated Press that Limbaugh was being investigated by the Palm Beach County, Fla., state attorney's office.

``At the present time, the authorities are conducting an investigation, and I have been asked to limit my public comments until this investigation is complete,'' Limbaugh said.

Mike Edmondson, a spokesman for the Palm Beach County state attorney's office, said Friday his office could neither confirm nor deny that an investigation was under way. Limbaugh's attorney, Roy Black, did not return a message seeking comment.

Limbaugh said he started taking painkillers ``some years ago'' after a doctor prescribed them following a spinal surgery. His back pain stemming from the surgery persisted, so Limbaugh said he started taking pills and became hooked.

``Over the past several years I have tried to break my dependence on pain pills and, in fact, twice checked myself into medical facilities in an attempt to do so. I have recently agreed with my physician about the next steps.''

A spokesman for Premiere Radio Networks, which syndicates the politically focused ``Rush Limbaugh Show'' to more than 650 markets, declined to elaborate on Limbaugh's previous treatment.

Limbaugh reported two years ago that he had lost most of his hearing because of an autoimmune inner-ear disease. He had surgery to have an electronic device placed in his skull to restore his hearing.

Research has found that abuse of opiate-based painkillers like those Limbaugh is accused of taking can lead to profound hearing loss caused by damage to the inner ear, said Dr. Gail Ishiyama, an assistant professor at the UCLA department of neurology. She could not confirm that was Limbaugh's case without access to his medical history.

Steve Plamann, executive editor of The National Enquirer, said he was gratified by Limbaugh's admission and his plans to seek help.

``We didn't do our stories gleefully. We just reported the facts,'' Plamann said.

However, Limbaugh said that reports about his addiction have inaccuracies and distortions which he will clarify when he is able to speak about them.

Premiere spokesman Michael Sitrick said Limbaugh is expected to return to his program after completing treatment. Several guest hosts were scheduled until then.

If any living human can be said to have flown too close to the Sun, it would have to be Rush Limbaugh. During the fortnight that followed the closest passing asteroid that did not "die on earth," we witnessed Rush circumcised by the liberal media because of a "racist" remark on ESPN the same day that the asteroid was witnessed at the Lowell Observatory in Arizona. Two days later the reign of Gray Davis was terminated by Mr. Universe, as Californians took charge of their destiny and circumcised the "Progressive Party" governor. Then on October 10, 2003 at the end of his radio program Rush admitted to the whole world that he was addicted to prescription painkillers that he had been obtaining illegally on the Black Market. Now we must consider these circumcisions in light of the prophesy of 2003 being the year of Judgment Day, and the circumcision of Kobe. One villain who wrecked the economy of California was taken down by none other than Mr. Universe, Arnold Schwarzenegger. The fate of Gray Davis has been that of a termination. The fate of the basketball hero who committed adultery is no slam dunk, and the Islamic laws of Shariah suffered a defeat on September 25 in Nigeria, where a woman who gave birth was spared from the death penalty. So, lets focus an the self sacrifice of the Conservative Voice of America and the Excellence in Broadcasting tycoon.

The zenith at the moment of the admission was the apex of the balance in the House of Judgment.

The zenith sat at Izar, at the groin of Bootes, the Lord of the Most High.

Here is the setting for the event of Rush's Confession.

Here are the events that led up to the confession. Note that Phaeton circumcises the Lord of the Most High, and to the west side the asteroid 2003SQ222 heads from the Holy Grail (Crater) to become the closest asteroid to miss being killed by a collision with Mother Earth.

The events witnessed by the Lord of the Most High show that the asteroid identified with the Conception of the Son of the Sun of the Sun had come to the same house of Dagon during the most trying week of Rush's professional life, and Rush has the credentials to show that he is the fleshy Conception of the Son of the Sun of the Sun.. Like 2003SQ222 cut through Orion, Rush was cut in two by the resignation from his beloved ESPN color commentator's position and then his admission to be lost in a land of unrelenting pain where killer's of pain are illegal possessions. Is the price paid by Rush's admission of drug dependency and his self admission into a rehabilitation center going to be sufficient to restore him to greatness? Or, will the Liberal Media and the Progressive Party advocates going to laugh all the way to the bank at the End of the River where the Phoenix burns for eternity? Truth will become apparent, but we can rest assured of one fundamental. Arrogance defines a winner before Judgment Day and humility defines a winner after Judgment Day. Only the journey through Judgment Day can demonstrate arrogance and the progress of a conservative progression. The outcome hangs in the balance until the trial is over. Now, the trial begins.

On October 25, 2003 the New Moon will join the Sun and Mercury to witness Venus hanging in the balance. If Rush was a Lucifer of Truth, then the Creator has an obligation to all mortal children. Truth must be restored or all children will deny Truth as a Conception of the Son of the Sun of the Sun. When the Sun, Moon, and Mercury sit on the eastern horizon on the Judgment Day of Love, the horizon line will project directly through Hoag's Object and the Laurel Wreath of the Northern Crown, as the Lord of the Most High rises in the east.

(Rev 12:1-5) The implication of Rev. 12:15 written in the heavens rising with the Sun on this morning is that this is a Judgment Day that results in birth of the ancestral vision, for the Judgment Day Asteroid follows the Sun and the Wheel Within the Wheel while the Moon and Mercury announce the coming of Venus (Enlightenment, Reflection, Wisdom, and Love). In other words, the fundamental Truth of the Conservative Party is that the ancestors knew the way. This is the essence of the Conception of the Son of the Sun of the Sun. She holds her flower as a Magic Wand of Resurrection.
