The Curious Tale of Asteroid Hermes and
Iphigenia in Tauris by
Euripides
Reveal the coming of cosmic concordance with the release of Persephone from
Hades.
This release from Hades is the Sign of the Times and the announcement of Second
Comings.
In a message
dated 10/31/03 8:21:47 PM Pacific Standard Time, Lapauila writes:
"On Oct. 30, 1937, Hermes glided past Earth only twice as far away as the Moon, racing across the sky at a rate of 5 degrees per hour. Nowadays only meteors and Earth-orbiting satellites move faster."
"Hermes approaches Earth's orbit twice every 777 days. Usually our planet is far away when the orbit crossing happens, but in 1937, 1942, 1954, 1974 and 1986, Hermes came harrowingly close to Earth itself. We know about most of these encounters only because Lowell Observatory astronomer Brian Skiff re-discovered Hermes… on Oct. 15, 2003."
Good evening Rush,

Shawn
Hi Shawn,
Hermes is the appropriate name for Asteroid 1937 UB, especially for the present
encounter with the Earth. Normally, Hermes circles the zodiac in a little over
two years. But, this year is unique year for Hermes. It went to the tropical
first of Aries at the east boundary of Pisces and Cetus during the first two
week of October 2003. Then, because it was so close to the earth, it went
retrograde across our planet. On November 3, 2003 it will be 0.048 AU from Earth
at the boundary of Aquarius and Capricorn. The inference is "saving abundance."
So, I would say that
Hermes is also
Ganymedes, for a day and a half later it "washes" the feet of Antinous.
![]() |
ARC OF THE COVENANT Note the bull and the goat in the wall decoration at the Ganymedes site. The implication is clear, Sculptor, Aquarius, Antinous, and Cepheus, are all aspects of Zeus. The transition from Greek Mythology to Christian Mythology simply removes the sexuality (homo or hetero) from the story of the Benevolent God, and because houses of the Twelve Stars of the zodiac were taken, there was no room for the child at the inn. The wall decoration leaves no doubt that Ganymedes, Zeus, and the Eagle are above the region of Taurus to Capricorn. Thus, as cup bearer, Ganymedes is Aquarius. As sacrificial son, he is Andromeda. As resurrected son, he is Antinous on the wings of Aquila. But, the affair between Zeus and Ganymedes is not homosexual, though it is homophile in the sense of the compassionate love of man for son. Ganymedes is the source of compassion in a rational lord who senses himself in the dreams of youth. This emotion is the life giving waters that Ganymedes pours from the cup of the gods, as their cup bearer. |
![]() |
ARC OF THE COVENANT The proof in the assertion that Ganymedes is the key to abundance is written in the zodiac path bounded as the Arc of the Covenant upon which Zeus and Ganymedes sit. The arc stretches from Taurus to Libra. At Taurus, Ganymedes is "looking back" and pouring out the contents of his cup. The contents are "life giving waters." He pours out the contents so that life can be given away. This is the hand of Andromeda that "let's go of the knuckleball" at the Cave of the Graeae. The cup in the hand of Ganymedes is the same knuckleball and cave. It says, "Let go of your childish ways and become a man." Pour out the contents of mother's holy grail. The "Bull Man" is not the Father's Dream, it is the Mother's Dream. Mothers want a man-child to grow up to be Cow-Boys. On the Day of Judgment, the Father says, "Simba, your mother cannot be with you any more." That is the pouring out of historical emotions, which is represented by Ganymedes. He must let go of feminine realization, and become a man of rational conscious when he sits on his father's knee. |
![]() |
ARC OF THE COVENANT The covenant between father and son is a more abundant life. If the child sucks up to mother for all of its life, that is the homophile spirit that treats love as emotion without rational conscious. On the right side of the arch the figure shows Capricorn under the covering of the cup in the hand of Zeus. This is the Scapegoat of the Jews, and the Cornucopia of the Greeks. The way to abundance is illustrated above the head of the goat. On the fringe of the zodiac arc is the tail of serpent touching the eagle. The eagle is a beast that raises serpents to feed its children. Thus, the artist is telling the viewer that the key to abundance is to pour out the heartfelt contents and raise the serpent in the wilderness. This vision is profound. It summarizes all the Books of Moses in one image. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then the Arc of the Covenant that supports Zeus and Ganymedes is worth a thousand thousand pictures. Any man-child that comprehends the Ganymedes-Zeus Arc will uncover the Key to the Bottomless Pit of unending emotional darkness. "Open the Heart" is what it says. |
![]() Rolling Away Stones ![]() Placing Feet on Hallowed Ground ![]() |
ARC OF THE COVENANT At the top of the composition we see Father and Son getting there heads together. When the son pours out the water he has uncovered, and when he removes the rock sitting on his head, the man-child will release the emotional material presence of mind. Then the eagle's eye and the serpent from below will be received so that the man-child can have rational spiritual presence of mind. That is what Perseus gained from the three blind women in the Cave of the Graeae who saw with one eye. He learned the trick of avoiding the glare of the Medusa that turns men to stone. Zeus advises his sun to let go of binding material emotions and lift the serpent up by powers acquired in the wilderness. But, first he must roll away the stone that sits upon his head. That stone is the material security his mother desired for him. It was simply her philoauriferous, or love of precious substance. That is the Bull of My Mother, which a man-child must learn to let go of, if he is to regain it, again. The lower portion shows that the eagle has his feet on the "earth," which is the path of the zodiac. Ganymedes does not wear the Winged Sandals of Perseus, because they belonged they belonged Hermes. He was the son of Athens, who was Wisdom. But, Zeus is not saying that the child who loves the father should reject wisdom. He is saying get your feet on the ground before you fly away with the serpent. The serpent is on the ground. And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. Exod 3:5 |

Coming In and Coming Out
at the Cave of the Graeae |
|
|
The Cave,
|
Iphigenia in Tauris by
Euripides So Perseus went to the Cave of the Graeae. The Graeae were strange women, there were three of them having only one eye for all three of them which they constantly fought over. Perseus hid behind some bushes and watched them. When one took out the eye to give to another Perseus sprang from his hiding place and snatched the eye from them. Then he said, "I have your eye and if you don't tell me how to find the Nymphs of the North you shall never have it back!" So they reluctantly told them how to find the Nymphs of the North. He gave them back their eye and flew off on his winged sandals. The kindly Nymphs of the North gave him the Cap of Darkness which has the power to make it's wearer invisible and the magic wallet. They told him how to reach the gorgons' lair. Perseus went farther north until he found an island surrounded by rocks and statues which used to be men. Perseus raised his shield and saw Medusa and her sisters asleep, he put on the Cap of Darkness and flew down. He swung the sickle and felt it tearing through sinew and bone. Still looking into the shield, he put Medusa's head in the magic wallet. Medusa's sisters woke up and attacked Perseus. He flew quickly away on his winged sandals and was not hurt. On his way back to Seriphus he had many adventures, one was that when he saw the Atlas holding up the sky Perseus was sorry for Atlas and turned him to stone by showing him the head of Medusa so he could no longer feel the weight of his burden. |

These myths from the Fables of the Ancients reveals why
Asteroid 1937 UB,
Hermes, travels to the beam of Libra for the arrival of the Moon at the Sun
during the Solar Eclipse on November 23, 2003. On its way it will be at the Right Hand of the
Father when the Moon meets the Earth Shadow on November 11, 2003. After making
this special visit to the Earth, Hermes will return home to Sagittarius as the
New Age of the Rising Sun becomes the Cosmic Knowledge of the Fallen Man. I don't
think any Greek mythologists could have told it better, for Hermes is wisdom,
and Sagittarius is his Sun Sign. The journey from east Pisces to Libra is that
of Ganymedes. Thus, this special journey of the asteroid is the journey of the
wisdom of compassionate judgment. That is the required sign for the return of
the Christ Child, who was said to have been "Wrapped in swaddling cloths and laid in a
manger." The near Earth Asteroid,
Asteroid 1937 UB, Hermes, is the second coming of compassionate wisdom. The
asteroid was lost, and now it is found.
Here are the related images that reveal we have seen the Sign of the Times that
is the herald of all Second Comings.

Hermes flies by the Earth at the boundary of Aquarius and Capricorn. Zeus was
also nurtured by the She Goat and rode the eagle at the Serpent's Tail.

One complete cycle for Hermes, with the return to Earth from east Pisces to
Libra taken one day at a time. Before the Close Encounter with Earthlings,
Hermes travels in the day cycle of seven kings.
After passing the Judgment Hall, Hermes again
travels in the day cycle of seven kings. Home for the man in the winged sandals
is the house of the Archer, Ishmael, who was the Father's Son. In the Judgment
Hall of Osiris, Ishmael was circumcised, for the sake of As Above, So Below. The
close encounter of Hermes in 2003 is a clear message that says it is time for
Jonah to go to Nineveh, and it is time for the Mother's Son, Isaac, whose house
is that of Aries, to be circumcised on the Eighth Day. There can be little doubt
that the year 2003 was the year when the two great creeds of Pisces,
Christianity and Islam, came to do battle over who should roll the stone away
from Abraham's Promised Land. Neither creed understands Heaven's Bittersweet
refrain, because they carry the double edged sword of blind ambition that kills
the stork for the sake of life to come. The message of
Asteroid 1937 UB,
Hermes, is written under the net of Neith. It is this. The vision of the Son of
God can only come with the death at the heels of the Bull of My Mother that puts
weapons of war in the hands of children who do not comprehend the Eagle of My
Father that carries the vision of Judgment Day under the feet of the Woman
Clothed in the Sun with a crown of twelve stars.

Details of the moment of the closest encounter with Hermes are shown above.

Hermes at the Lunar Eclipse sits at the Right Side of the Father, as shown in
the wall decoration and the sky.

Hermes at the Solar Eclipse sits above the balance between the hand of the
Father and the feet of the Mother.

Zenith at New York City at the moment of the close encounter with Hermes,
reveals Perseus with the Medusa in his "magic wallet."

Nadir at New York City at the moment of the close encounter with Hermes is at
the wolf's ear. The implication is that the son of the right hand, Benjamin, will
raven like the wolf, who had no mother to be at his side, for her feet we upon
him. Thus, it is now the time for Mother Spirit to put her feet down upon the
Earth. Balance requires the Perseus and Ganymedes become one. Balance requires
that Ishmael and Isaac become one. Balance requires that Jesus and John become
one. Balance requires that Aquarius and Sculptor become one. But, none of this
can happen until Virgo and Andromeda become one. Balance will occur when Hermes
leads Persephone out of the Cave of the Graeae and restores the endarkened
daughter to the enlightened mother. The Sun and the Son of Man have arrived at
Judgment Day. The enlightened mother will be a midwife for the daughter of
darkness, and the Man-child the is born will restore the Whole Truth hidden in
the Cave of the Graeae, as Osiris remove the grave cloths of repressed memories
of how it once was, and always shall be.

Zenith at New York City at the moment of the Lunar Eclipse sits on the bound
hand. It says what all New Yorkers feel, "We poured out the contents of the Twin
Towers, now please, Let my people go!"

The Pillar of Tauret at the Lunar Eclipse shows the Star of David looking
northward. Chiron holds the triangle of water
bounded by Jupiter (Zeus) and the conjunction of the Earth and Moon (Hathor and
Osiris). Chiron is between the head of Sagittarius and the child on the back of
the eagle. Chiron reveals the return of the Christ Child, and the World's lost
truth. Jupiter is at the feet of the lion where the Virgin's Dream appears. The
Earth and the Moon are at the tail of the whale where Jonah became the
sacrificial lamb.

The Pillar of Argo at the Lunar Eclipse shows the Star of David looking
southward. At the top of the triangle of fire, Saturn/Chronus, who is the father
of Jupiter/Zeus, is a light shining from above the triple place bounded by Mars
and Sun. Mars sits upon the wrist of the Cupbearer who pours for the Life Giving
Waters. The Sun is at the apex of the Balance with 2002NY40, the Judgment Day
asteroid, where Mercury/Hermes sits within the Judgment Hall, as Venus protects
the foot of the Father from the bite of the Great Red Dragon.

The Nadir Meridian at New York City at the moment of the Lunar Eclipse passes
through the Holy Grail (Crater) and the tail of the lion above, and through
Golgotha off the stern of the Sun Boat splashing through the tempest and between
the Clashing Rocks where the Leviathan resides toward other side of the river
where the Phoenix and the Stork promise a New Life. To the east Orion rises,
while to the west Ophiuchus prepares to pass on the legacy of the Heavenly
Hosts. Saturn resting between the twins where Ceres holds on of the three hands
says it is time to raise the money from the mouth of the fish.

Fourteen days earlier, the City of New York perceived that it had lost a Series
of the World. But, that is the vision of the Daughter of Darkness. What really
happened was that the House that Ruth Built, and the City that saw the Demise of
Twin Towers, was chosen as the Hallowed Ground upon which the 1st of Pisces was
announced. New York did not lose the game, they were the Paternal shore where
children come when they desire to play the game. New York City is the City of
God that is the Gateway of Life.

Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides
Thus my virgin steps I bend,
Holy, the holy to attend;
Servant, virgin queen, to thee;
Power, who bear'st life's golden key,
Far from Greece for steeds renown'd,
From her walls with towers crown'd,

Shawn,
The current subject on my mind is the travails of Andromeda. I noticed in your
image of the Medusa in Capricorn conjoined with Io that there was another whose
name I never heard. She is
Iphigenia in Tauris,
whose deeds are well explained by Euripides.
The words quoted above are those of Euripides. Once we see the embroidery of
Andromeda's domain, it becomes very clear why all the Native Peoples sang the
refrain of the Virgin Sacrifice. But, to understand Euripides we have to have
three eyes. One eye is on the words that synchronize the heart and then the
stars. This eye must be shared to make it three. For, truth is in the beholder
of the eye that sees, and truth sees through the Eye of One.

Servant, virgin queen, to thee; Power, who bear'st
life's golden key, In other words, the golden key is to let go of
those virgin dreams and allow the "steeds renown'd" to carry the daughter of the
virgin mother back to Olympus, from whence she came. The steeds are the spirits
that fly like Pegasus over the "towers crown'd" to the place of the King and
Queen in Havaiki i taputapu atea. {Central Heaven in the Pacific Cultures]
Whether it is Pele, Demeter, or Mary, it is just a name. But, behind each name
is a heartfelt story in the stars. Sometimes I feel sad that I was not the First
Man. Then I am overwhelmed with the realization that I have the place that was
prepared for me by those who wandered the earth ahead of me. In the depths of my
overwhelming I find Iphigenia in Tauris and
the purpose becomes crystal clear, again. We do not live on this earth for the
sake of the present, that is simply our burden. Rather, we live in the present
as caretakers of the past and future. We are the trunk of the Living Tree while
the Virgin's Sacrifice is before our faces. If we live in accordance with the
dream of the Virgin Mother, then we are given a place amongst the "stars" for
eternity, as we prepare that same place others to come. The magic comes when
some young steed becomes a pillar of the community of the
crown'd. At that point, the future life can
restore the spirit of the past, and with the restored spirit, life springs forth
from virginity, again.
The Greeks/Hebrews wrote the story of Mary riding toward Bethlehem on a donkey
because a donkey is the symbol of maximum self consciousness. The Virgin Mother
is that spirit of Intuition which Euripides called "Servant,
virgin queen, to thee; Power, who bear'st life's golden key." In more
common and less intuitive spin, it means, "Mother Mary came to me, speaking
words of wisdom, 'There will come an answer, Let it be. Let it be.'"
When we ride the Virgin's donkey we are at the moment of our finest hour,
whether a Beatle on Abbey Road, or a Beetle rolling a ball of cosmic dung. When
we share the Virgin Womb, we are a vessel for the Words of Gods. In this birth
process, even men like Euripides have shared. "But at
the altar I by thee am slain; For Pluto was the Achilles, not the son Of Peleus,
whom to me thou didst announce The affianced bridegroom, and by guile didst
bring To bloody nuptials in the rolling car." In other words, were
are abducted by our own rationality on a chariot of the gods that leads, not to
a palace above, but to the cave beneath the Virgin's Mount.
"If, O unhappy brother, thou art dead, From what a
state, thy father's envied height Of glory, loved Orestes, art thou torn!- These
false rules of the goddess much I blame: Whoe'er of mortals is with slaughter
stain'd, Or hath at childbirth given assisting hands, Or chanced to touch aught
dead, she as impure Drives from her altars; yet herself delights In human
victims bleeding at her shrine. Ne'er did Latona from the embrace of Jove Bring
forth such inconsistence: I then deem The feast of Tantalus, where gods were
guests, Unworthy of belief, as that they fed On his son's flesh delighted; and I
think These people, who themselves have a wild joy In shedding human blood,
their savage guilt Charge on the goddess: for this truth I hold; None of the
gods is evil, or doth wrong." Intuition sacrifices virgins by false
rules, as well as truth, but in the dark brother's "rolling car" we get abducted
on the fast lane to Hades by throwing care to the wind. The gods are never
wrong, nor do they evil. If we fall for the rationality that the gods do evil,
then we become the empresses of darkness. That is the sad refrain of Iphigenia.
When Hermes finds the falling daughter he takes her hand and leads her back to
the mouth of the cave, where stands the Virgin Mother with arms opened wide
prepared to share the eternal embrace of innocence proclaimed. Now, Shawn, you
reveal the truth in the name that was and was not. [Shawn had learned to dislike
her maiden name.] I knew you to be the spirit of Hermes, but it never
occurred me that you had chosen to sacrifice the virgin because you thought the
god was evil, or that he doth wrong. You are Iphigenia and Pele, in the flesh.
You have been Pele for as long as I have communicated with you in words and
pictures. But, before you found my words, you were Iphigenia looking for Hermes
to lead you from the cave of Hades into the Light of Who You Are.
Euripides knew from the Book of Stars that Iphigenia was "Amazing Grace, how
sweet thy sound," for he put the stars into words so that the magic of the three
women with the single eye could reveal the difference between evil and passion.
This he did four centuries before Iphigenia was transfigured as the son of Mary,
and over two millennia after Iphigenia was immortalized as Isis in the passion
of the Great Pyramids. But, as the Pacific Peoples have said, the sacrifice of
the virgin was the Greatest Story Ever Told in the antediluvian times, for the
autumnal sun has twice before risen and twice before set where it now rises. The
vernal equinox has now finished the second cycle of 26,000 years since man began
to witness the Words of the Gods written in the embroidery of cosmic robe. We
are now walking in the valley of the shadow of the death of Iphigenia for the
third cycle. Hermes, the asteroid, once was lost, and now is found, and Hermes,
the daughter, once was lost, and now is found. Listen to Euripides and Iphigenia
and see with your heart the stars of
your
first becoming, again.
Watch with your eyes the images of the ride on the
wheel'd car.
|
|
|
|
Of course wisdom will feign the heroic rescue of the abducted emotions, but in the story of the wild man and the mother's son, the child on the eagle's wings is more like Benjamin than Persephone. And Benjamin grew to raven like the wolf, for Benjamin never knew the embrace of his mother. The effect of the circumcision of Isaac was lost within two generations, for Jacob could not pass the covenant of his grandmother to her great grandson son. The intuitive daughter of the Virgin Mother is lost when the rational son grows without the embracing grace. Yet, if the son of man should yield the pillars of self proclaiming creation, then intuition will reveal the Son of God through the perfected daughter of the true emotion of unconditional love. |
Then skip the road on the wheel'd car back
up to heaven's light.
Instead, take the hand of Hermes through the Archer's Door and the Gateway of
Gods.
![]() |
|
| If we keep the women in the dark, they will be happy. Repression of emotion is the cause for unforgiving rational order. Life results in habits that can cause the light of day to turn to night, and we must stay vigilant throughout each cycle of day and night. |

The pursuit of truth and happiness is like the wheeled car without reigns on the
horses, it is an abduction by desire. And should the horses (Gemini means "I
Think") be cut from the wheeled car, the harrowing journey can only go down into
a dream of darkness. But, at the Archer's Door, the lights reappears, and that
is where Hermes belongs. It is written in your given name, Hermes. It is written
in the stars.

I may be Ra, but without Hermes, I would ride a runaway chariot while leaving my
kin in a ditch.

Thanks for the lift, Hermes. Now, go to the Manger from whence you came and LIVE UP to your name!
Mahalo to you, Pele, and to your daughter, Iphigenia.
